In Class
- Every class that your student has with me we will begin by answering 2 small essential questions. For example "What do they think being unwound means?" "How would you feel if you were in an accident, or had a rare disease, and you could only be cured if your damaged organs were replaced by parts taken from unwound teens. What would you choose to do?" " What if you were certain to die if you refused the parts? What if it wasn’t you, but someone you loved (a parent, a sibling) who was in an accident? Would your answer be different?"
- After going over their responses of the essential questions, we will break up into groups of 4/5. In these groups we will go over worksheets that discuss, what they learned as a whole and collectively put together and answer the questions.
- Depending on how long the groups take and if every parent signed the release form, we will begin the movie outbreak.
Homework
10/03/2016 - 10/10/2016 Students are expected to at home begin reading Unwind( pages 1-50). To ensure the student has been doing homework i will give them a 15 question quiz on that Friday or the following Monday depending on which class they have me.
10/10/2016 -10/17/2016- Students are expected to at home begin reading Unwind( pages 50-100). To ensure the student has been doing homework i will give them a 15 question quiz on that Friday or the following Monday depending on which class they have me.
10/17/2016-10/24/2016-Students are expected to at home begin reading Unwind( pages 100-150). To ensure the student has been doing homework i will give them a question sheet that has 20/25 questions that will be completed in class, on that Friday or the following Monday depending on which class they have me.
10/24/2016-10/31/2016-Students are expected to at home begin reading Unwind( pages 150-200). To ensure the student has been doing homework i will give them a question sheet that has 20/25 questions that will be completed in class, on that Friday or the following Monday depending on which class they have me.
•Students are expected to complete homework assignments by Friday.
•Home assignments may include research, reviewing vocabulary, studying for tests and quizzes
•Homework will be factored in as a percentage of the total quarterly grade.
